Britain says Intelligent Design is not Science

Its good to read that the UK Goverment sees no place for the chicanery that is Intelligent Design in its school's science curriculum.

It has also defined "Intelligent Design", the idea that life is too complex to have arisen without the guiding hand of a greater intelligence, as a religion, along with "creationism".

I must say it's a relief. I left the UK 12 years ago and I now live in Australia. I see
snippets in the news from time to time about how the forces of insanity are trying to push this
nonsense in UK classrooms. I'd hate to see the UK going the way of the US. But I needn't
have worried. Even with a religious loony like Tony Blair in charge, there is still enough good old
common sense in the country to keep the whackos at bay.
