Bad DRM poll

Posted on

EHomeUpgrade is running a quick poll on Digital Rights Management. The questions are interesting but, it must be the poll software they used, some of the questions are really more than one question shoe horned into a checkbox website poll model. For example, you can check both Would you "rent" DRM protected digital media - YES and Would you "rent" DRM protected digital media - NO as a response. I think that totally throws out what little validity a web poll like this can have.  I still voted though.

Convey scores 2x vs Millwall

Posted on

Just read that Bobby Convey scored twice this weekend. Its good to see him bounce back like that for his club after missing and having a shot blocked in the US qualifier last week.  He had to go and prove me wrong. When he missed his breakaway against Trinidad & Tobago last week I told Staci "What do you expect? He did that all the time with DC." Now that he's getting regular playing time, he might just be refining his marksmanship and thereby rewarding his coach for giving him more playng time.

Microsoft worm headlines

Posted on

I report, you decide. Now, in my book, bringing down the US Custom's office isn't a sign that your security strategy is "working". According to Forrester, the fact that this wasn't as bad as the last windows worm shows "Shows That Microsoft's Security Strategy Is Working".  But Windows remains the battleground for worm writers, and if their Worm war cripples computers at US firms, at least they're not crippling more of them. That's some progress.
