If the rumor that Donovan will end up in LA after a disappointning 3 months in Germany are true, what does that mean for his future career? Will he remain a perennial MLS player, a big fish in a small pond? Would another European team ever take a chance on him after this? If he comes back to the States, he’ll be branded a Euro-reject and that could over shadow any other accomplisments, short of winning the World Cup.
