Usually I’d just quitely file this in my delicious feed but let me say that I’ll be quite glad to see Amado Guevara leave MLS and if there’s anything I can do to speed the process along, let me know! While he may be a talented player, I more often remeber him for bad fouls, acting to draw fouls/cards, and generally being a whiny primadonna.
Guevara has received seven yellow cards this season, several of which
have come for dissent or for fouls he committed after feeling like
fouls against him weren’t called. On Wednesday, Guevara garnered his
first yellow card 10 minutes into the match. He became angry when
referee Terry Vaughn failed to whistle Ben Olsen for an apparent foul.
Guevara retaliated by fouling Dema Kovalenko from behind on the left
edge of the penalty area and began arguing with Vaughn, who quickly
booked him for dissent.
